KELOWNA – The Elizabeth Fry Society is partnering with a local pub to raise money for victims of abuse in our community.

The third annual Spring Fling at Rose’s Pub is hoping to raise money for the Society’s Trauma Counselling Program, which helps locals affected by sexual abuse, exploitation and violence.

For over 40 years the Elizabeth Fry Society has been helping women and children and last year served close to 3,000 clients.

According to a release the client list continues to grow every year, resulting in some people in need being placed on waitlists.

"With the client demand continuing to increase each year, this has resulted in clients being placed on waitlists for trauma counseling, therapy groups, and our prevention program, Girls United, leaving all our programs running at full capacity," the release says.

Tickets for the beer and beverage evening at Rose’s Pub are $20 and can be purchased by calling Shannon at 250-763-4613 Ext. 209.

Tickets include dinner and a drink.

An online auction is also now up for bidding and can be viewed at this website
