Early morning masturbator sought by Kelowna police

KELOWNA – RCMP are asking the public for help identifying a man who was masturbating in public early Tuesday morning.

A witness says the man was in the bushes on the northeast corner of Sutherland Avenue and Richter Street at 6:38 a.m. today, Feb. 2. When a woman saw him and screamed, he ran across the street while pulling up his pants.

He got into an older red Honda and drove away on Sutherland Avenue towards Ethel Street.

The witness was unable to see the licence plate.

He is described as being over 6’ tall with darker skin, a moustache and scruffy beard and wearing light green pants and a winter jacket.

Police are also asking that the witness contact them as well as anyone else with any information.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppers.net
