Don't forget the sunscreen, another hot weekend on the way in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - The recent trend of sunny, hot weather in Kamloops will continue into the weekend.

Environment Canada says the hottest day this weekend will be Saturday when the mercury is forecast to climb to 36 Celsius.

The forecast calls for a sunshine and a high of 31 C today with the wind west at 30 kilometre per hour. Clear skies overnight, the wind dropping to west at 20 km/h and a low of about 14 C. The UV index today is 7 or high.

Sunny with a high of 34 C tomorrow, clear overnight with a low of 17 C.

Saturday will be the hottest day of the weekend, with a high of 36 C and an overnight low of 14 C.

Expect a mix of sun and cloud on Sunday, cooling off slightly with a high of 30 C. Cloudy periods overnight Sunday with a low of 12 C.

Normals for this time of year are highs of 28 C and lows of 13 C.
