COLDSTREAM - A child was bitten on the face by a dog prompting a call for ambulance and police.
The child and a neighbour's dog were both being cared for by the child's grandparents when the incident occurred at about 4:15 p.m. Aug. 17. Emergency Health Services came to the home and called for assistance from RCMP. The child was taken to hospital. Police say it appears the dog was unprovoked and has since been placed in the care of the SPCA.
Police are working with the family and the SPCA during the investigation.
