KELOWNA - World-renowned singer Diana Krall will be sharing a night with fans in Kelowna as part of the Canadian leg of her "Wallfower World Tour" May 12.

The five-time Grammy Award winning jazz pianist will include performances with the Kelowna Symphony Orchestra during her concert at Prospera Place.

The Wallflower album comes out on Verve Records Feb. 3, 2015 and is produced by 16-time Grammy Award-winning producer David Foster, according to a media release. The music breaks new ground for Krall as she interprets pop songs that have inspired her, from the '60s to present day. Expect classics such as "California Dreamin'" by the Mamas and the Papas and Bob Dylan's "Wallflower". She also debuts an unreleased composition from Paul McCartney called "If I Take You Home Tonight".

Krall recently headlined the Montreal International Jazz Festival, performing for more than 100,000 fans. She's the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. She's one five Grammy's so far, eight Junos, and has nine gold, three platinum and seven multi-platinum albums.

Tickets ranging in price from $65 to $99.50 can be found online at www.selectyourtickets.com, by phone at 250-762-5050 or in person at Prospera Place. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Those who can't catch the Kelowna show can catch up with Krall May 13 at the Orpheum in Vancouver.
