A cyclist struck by an impaired driver on Green Mountain Road is treated on scene. The incident occurred Tuesday at approximately 5:30 p.m.

PENTICTON - Penticton RCMP report a cyclist was struck while riding on Green Mountain Road near the junction of Westhills Road at approximately 5 p.m. last night.
The driver was issued a 90 day Immediate Roadside Prohibition for being impaired and had his vehicle impounded, in addition to being charged with driving without due care and attention, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and open liquor in vehicle.
Charges were also issued for possession of a controlle substance under the controlled drug and substance act.
The motorist has a court date slated for October.
Extent of the cyclist’s injuries are unknown.
