Montreal cabbie facing seven charges after allegedly ramming two people with car

MONTREAL - A Montreal cabbie who allegedly hit two people on purpose with his vehicle was arraigned Tuesday on seven charges, including dangerous driving and criminal negligence.

Nick Forlinano-Gauthier, 32, allegedly struck the two men for failing to pay their fare as they got out of the taxi on Monday.

He is expected to return to court Wednesday for a bail hearing.

An 18-year-old suffered head injuries, while a 20-year-old was also taken to hospital with less serious wounds.

The charges include assault with a weapon, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
