WEST KELOWNA - There's still smoke coming from eight burned homes in Lake Country but even that's not enough to deter people from starting campfires.
A little over 40 kilometres away, fire crews had to put out a campfire, this time at Jack Pine Lake near Glenrosa in West Kelowna, Central Okanagan Emergency Operations officials say.
The campfire was reported in time for firefighters to extinguish it before it got out of hand.
Campfires and open burning are banned in B.C.
