SALMON ARM – CP police are investigating after one of the railroad company’s snowplows and a SUV were involved in a crash yesterday evening.

RCMP say they were called at about 5:40 p.m., Jan. 18, to the collision in the intersection of 3 Avenue NW and Lakeshore Drive NW in Salmon Arm.

“A CP snow removal vehicle had been working on the tracks and a southbound Toyota SUV crossed the tracks at the same time,” Staff Sgt. Scott West says in a media release. “There was a collision as a result.”

The investigation has been turned over to the CP police.

The RCMP aren’t saying if anyone was injured or how badly damaged the vehicles were as a result of the crash.
