KELOWNA – Add one more name to the list of sitting councillors who will be on the ballot again this fall.

Mohini Singh, who was first elected three years ago, has announced she will seek re-election to a second term.

“There's a lot of unfinished business,” she says. “I see good things happening for Kelowna and I want to continue to be a part of that.”

Singh, a mother and former TV journalist, says she is most excited to see projects like the new RCMP Services building, the Innovation Centre and the Interior Health Authority building finally come to fruition.

“There are so many projects we worked so hard on and I’d like the opportunity to finish what we started.”

Although Singh has not yet filed the paperwork with City Hall, she expects to make it official over the next few days. As a member of a minority group, she says she will continue to look for common ground and ways to make everyone feel welcome in Kelowna.

“I want to bring people together from all different backgrounds to engage with the city as we move forward.”

The civic election will take place Nov. 15.
