Community open house on traffic calming measures for South Boucherie

A community open house will be held Thursday, June 27 to seek feedback from residents living in the South Boucherie area regarding a proposed traffic calming review for the neighbourhood. The meeting will be held at Mount Boucherie Secondary School, in the multipurpose room, starting at 6 p.m.

Staff will seek input from the neighbourhood on any traffic concerns and ask residents if they are in favor of the District of West Kelowna proceeding with a traffic calming study for the South Boucherie area. Staff will make a short presentation outlining traffic calming purposes and methods.

The meeting will also provide staff the opportunity to update residents on the initial phase of traffic calming measures installed on Vineyard Drive last fall. Six curb extensions were constructed between Merlot Court and Ridge Boulevard last October and follow up speed and volume counts have been gathered.
