GOLDEN – The Trans Canada has reopened to single lane, alternating traffic near Golden following a car crash this morning.

Highway 1 was closed about 5 kilometres east of Golden in both directions following a collision at about 9:30 a.m., March 5, but reopened to a single lane in each direction just before 11 a.m.

Kevin Sauve with B.C. Emergency Heath Services says one ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but didn’t know how many patients were treated or how serious the injuries were.

The Trans Canada remains closed due to a crash west of Salmon Arm.
