A video surveillance camera captured a man pocketing a charity coin box from the counter of a local A&W restaurant last Thursday.

Kelowna RCMP are calling the event an "uncharitable theft" and are searching for the suspect from the video who they say took the coin box May 23 at about 5:30 a.m. when restaurant staff became distracted filling the suspect's order. Anyone with information regarding the identify of the man or his whereabouts is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP Const. Chenard at 250-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.crimestoppers.net or text to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
