April 1 - Okanagan Regional Library - Mission Branch, 3:30-4:30
Kids often look externally for support from parents, teachers and Superheroes. Sometimes, those people are not there to help. Jeff Hoffart, teacher, TEDxYouth organizer, and co-author of “Robbie and the Bully-bot,” supports students in developing strategies to face Bullying, empowering them to become their own Superheroes!

How Adults can be prepared to deal with Bullying

April 2 - Okanagan Regional Library - Kelowna Branch, 6:00-7:00pm
Unfortunately, as most parents and teachers know, bullying is a huge concern for kids and youth worldwide. From physical and emotional bullying to cyber bullying that takes place online, adults need to do what they can to make sure kids are safe.

Jeff Hoffart, teacher and co-author of “Robbie and the Bully-bot,” shares his experiences with Bullying, strategies that parents and teachers can help children develop, the importance of role models, ways to approach digital citizenship and online safety, and ensures participants leave with resources and a plan of action to feel confident with how kids can face Bullying, both online and in person.
