KAMLOOPS - After some tense moments, a cargo plane landed safely at Kamloops Airport this morning.

While approaching Kamloops Airport the crew of a Kelowna Flightcraft cargo plane, a Convair 580, reported to the airport some of the plane’s landing gear may be malfunctioning at 9:05 a.m today, Dec. 5, according to a Kamloops Airport media release.

The concern was it hadn’t descended when it was supposed to.

The plane did a flyover of the airport and it was confirmed the landing gear was indeed down, the release says.

The plane made a safe landing at 9:11 a.m. Emergency services were called, but not needed.
