KELOWNA – A Kelowna coffee shop has been named the number one Canadian coffeehouse you need to visit before you die, according to Buzzfeed Canada.

Third Space in the Landmark II building on Dolphin Road is at the top of a list of 31 coffee shops across the country. Buzzfeed writer Sarah Aspler ranked it ahead of FIKA Café in Toronto, Arlington Five in Ottawa and others from much larger cities.

Third Space was founded by Ken Stober as a non-profit foundation. According to a media release, 100 per cent of their coffee profits to go towards helping those in need through it’s wellness centre and counseling services.

“With an espresso machine that probably costs more than most cars, and an award-winning barista working her craft behind the counter, Third Space Coffee is a coffee lovers’ heaven. Their joe? The custom-roasted Matchstick Coffee from Vancouver,” the release says.

CEO Scott Lanigan says their goal is to creat a space for people to build relationships and find support and inspiration in others.

“The term ‘third space’ derives from the idea that people live in three main spaces: home, work and a space where people find community,” he says in the release. “We are convinced that through intentional relationships, every person can experience faith, hope and purpose.”
