Penticton's old bus barn on Ellis Street is still on the table to become the city's newest farmer's market attraction.

The Downtown Penticton Association wants to turn the city-owned building into a year-round indoor market. It would not be a replacement for the regular Saturday markets on Main Street. It's been reported the bus barn market won't open on Saturday until noon. The association have examined bus barn costs, who will sell what and when renovation work can start.

A large indoor market might also fill-in for a grocery store. Downtown business owners and residents have said the downtown needs a new food outlet.

The association will hold its regular meeting this Wednesday at 8 a.m. at city hall's committee room A on the second floor.
