Building market continues strong pace in the regional district

Building performance continues at a strong pace in the regional district during the second quarter of 2017.

PENTICTON - Building revenues continue to grow in the regional district.

Building permit activity at the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen surpassed last year’s healthy performance with 273 permits in the second quarter, up from 239 permits issued in the same period of 2016.

The dollar value of building permits is also up substantially, from $26,815,238 in 2016 to $55,738,113 year to date in 2017.

Building inspection revenue is also up for the regional district to $584,516.80, year to date in 2017 from $317,678.04 in the period January to June in 2016.
