PENTICTON - Break and enters and vandalism kept officers on their toes last week.

On April 22 P&E Lumber on Green Mountain Road was broken into and various small tools taken, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jill Wrigglesworth says.

Damage and mischief to outdoor washrooms at the sports field near Carmi Elementary School were also reported on April 22.

On April 23, a brick was tossed thru a window at The Front Door on the 200-block of Main St. The brick is believed to be from the sidewalk currently part of the downtown revitalization effort. An audible alarm was set off, but thieves managed to break open the till and take some change.

The following day a blue and white 2008 Yamaha YZ250 motorcycle was reported stolen from Interior Power Sports at 2368 Government St. Thieves broke a panel in the garage door to gain access to the building.

A similar bike was also reported stolen from a residence on Gardner Court.
