HOPE, B.C. - An eight-year-old boy who was hit by a commercial truck in British Columbia's Fraser Valley has died.

Paramedics took the boy, who was suffering from life-threatening injuries, to hospital, where police say he died.

The accident shut down a street in the community about 150 kilometres east of Vancouver.
