CHASE - The body of a Calgary man who drowned in Shuswap Lake Aug. 4, 2013 has been recovered.

Kevin William Boutilier, 25, and some of his friends jumped off the houseboat they were on to retrieve a hat that had fallen into the water. Weather conditions caused the boat to drift and Boutilier was unable to make it back to the boat, even with the help of his friends.

A search for Boutilier's body was launched and unsuccessful. A private recovery service, Ralston and Associates, was hired to resume the search this month and the recovery was successful, July 10, 2014.
