VERNON - A man who died soon after he was found unconscious on a trail near Clarence Fulton Secondary School has been identified.
He was Michael William Steward Kalinouski, 36, of Vernon.
Kalinouski was found unresponsive around 9:30 a.m. February 27 just off the Nka-kul-kem trail system on Okanagan Avenue. At the time, Vernon RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said it didn't appear Kalinouski had been there long and there was nothing to indicate why he died. The B.C. Coroners Service stated attempts were made to resuscitate him.
An autopsy was scheduled in the days following Kalinouski's death, however the results were not released. The police and coroner continue to investigate.
