Kelowna Mounties were called to a bloody assault Thursday afternoon, but no one involved wanted to talk about it—not even the victim.

Shortly after 3 p.m. police were called to Burne Ave where witnesses saw what they described as two men "covered in blood," according to Cpl. Tania Carroll. Police managed to learn that the people inside had gathered for what appears to be a small party. They say an argument broke out and a man was hit in the head with an unknown object.

"He suffered minor lacerations and had to be convinced by police to attend the hospital to be medically checked out," Carroll said in a release.

Neither the victim nor the rest of the people at the party would say anything else. One woman was arrested at the residence for an unrelated matter.  At this time there are no charges of assault being submitted.
