The Greater Vernon Aquatic Centre will be re-opening on Monday October 7th, however the twenty-five metre lap pool will not have reached the desired temperature of 82 degrees by the opening date, due to some extended challenges related to the flood. The leisure pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room will all be up to normal temperatures for Monday, and the expectation is that by Tuesday or Wednesday the lap pool will be up to full temperature as well.
Due to the lower than desired temperature of the lap pool, Aqua Therapy classes will be cancelled for Monday and Tuesday, and participants are encouraged to contact the Recreation Centre about Thursdays classes. All other aquatics programming will resume on Monday. For more information, check the Greater Vernon Recreation website, or call the front desk at 250-545-6035.
