PENTICTON - Adults have their chance to be entertained Friday evening after the Okanagan International Children’s Festival, taking place Thursday through Saturday.

Wine, champagne and appetizers will be offered to guests while they enjoy presentations from stilt walkers, and African and Middle Eastern dancers.

Lanterns, hand-made by the kids, will be for sale, lit up at the end of the night and released into the air for a unique light show.

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday May 23, near the main stage at Okanagan Lake beach. Tickets are $20 and lanterns are $7. Organizers hope to raise a total of $8,400 in ticket and lantern sales.
