KAMLOOPS – A Kamloops man is facing multiple charges after being arrested in early this morning while hiding in a porta-potty.

Police responded to a call from a witness around 4 a.m today, June 26, after she saw and heard two men hiding behind trucks at a Juniper Ridge construction site, according to a press release. When police arrived they found fuel flowing from a truck and two jerry cans underneath.

They searched the area and saw the porta-potty at the site was showing it was occupied and the door was locked, police say.

Officers were able to pry open the door and found a man inside. His clothing smelled strongly of gas.

A 28-year-old Kamloops man is facing charges of trespass at night, theft and breach of probation.
