All kinds of events in Kamloops for the Labour Day long weekend

KAMLOOPS - There are no shortage of things to do in Kamloops on the last long weekend of the summer.

The NSA Canada Co-ed Slopitch World Series is taking place at the Tournament Capital Ranch. Kamloops has never had a slopitch event this large before and more details can be found online.

Finish off the summer with the SASS Canadian National Championship Shootout which is taking place all weekend. There are a variety of categories which includes shooting and evening costume contests.

The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men's soccer team is playing its home opener University of Victoria at Hillside Stadium on Sep. 2 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. As you cheer on the WolfPack, kids can enjoy a variety of games and events from tattoos and balloons to a bouncy castle.

You can also spend you Labour Day long weekend at Sun Peaks Resort for the annual Pedal Fest. If you like to bike then this is the event for you. Check out the website to see what bike events are on the roster

The Kamloops Farmers' Market takes place on Saturday, Sep. 2, located on the 200 block of St. Paul Street and the Stuart Wood schoolyard. From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. you can find local produce, meats and fish, and crafts.

If you like the Farmers' Market, you might want to go to McDonald Park on Sunday for the Kamloops Artisan Summer Market. There are a variety of activities at the market such as arts and crafts, live performances, and food trucks. To find out more about the Kamloops Artisan Summer Market, click here.

If you're looking for something different, Walk in the Park 2017 is happening from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sep. 3. Click here to register for the event. Also, more information about the Walk in the Park Ultramarathon can be found online.

End your long weekend with Drink and Draw at Zacks Coffee presented by the Kamloops Art Gallery. It is a free event taking place at Zacks Coffee shop on 377 Victoria St. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday. No experience is necessary to contribute to large-scale collaborative drawings, play games, and enjoy local coffee or beer.
