THOMPSON-OKANAGAN - Get ready to have your world rocked ‘cause Alice in Chains is coming to town this summer.

The chart-topping, award-winning rock band plays at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton on August 8, 2014.

The internationally known band has been around for over 25 years and originally formed in Seattle, Washington in 1987. Throughout the years, they’ve played alongside Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden—the other three bands that also make up the Big Four, a collection of 90’s Seattle grunge musicians that changed the sound of modern rock.

Some of the band’s hit songs include, Would?, No Excuses, and Nutshell.

Alice in Chains is stopping in Penticton as part of a worldwide tour that kicks off later this month in the U.S.

The show is general admission and tickets can be purchased starting April 17 at 10 a.m., at www.ValleyFirstTix.com by telephone at 1.877.SOEC.TIX (763.2849) or in person at the Valley First Box Office (at the SOEC) and Wine Country Visitor Centre.
