Accused in Kamloops stabbing case facing several charges

KAMLOOPS - One man is in jail and the other in hospital with stab wounds to his back after two men were involved in an altercation at a Tranquille Road Esso station yesterday, July 30.

Nathan Stephen Turner, 27, is currently in police custody while he awaits his bail hearing. The alleged victim has non-life threatening injuries.

Turner faces charges including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, resisting a peace officer and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The accused has other charges unrelated to the incident. Const. Jason Epp, a spokesperson for the Kamloops RCMP, says the suspect is known to police.

Turner will return to court next week.
