VERNON - The Organizing Committee for the third annual Okanagan Military Tattoo is pleased to announce that the Calgary Stampede Band of Outriders will perform at the Tattoo on July 23 and 24 at Vernon's Kal Tire Place.

The energetic 40 piece ensemble is comprised of Calgary Stampede Show Band alumnai and other musicians from the Calgary area.

Formed in 1991, A Band of Outriders is known for their diverse musical repertoire - often contrasting traditional swing tunes and classical standards with rock and western favourites.

Versatility is a key characteristic of the group. Members have performed at diplomatic events, weddings and for raucous crowds in football stadiums and rodeo arenas.

A Band of Outriders extend their musical version of  Western hospitality to Calgary visitors making more than 50 appearances during the 10 day Stampede.

A Band of Outriders was a crowd favourite during the Okanagan Military Tattoo's inaugural event in 2014. They will play a key role in the 2016 Tattoo where the theme " West Meets East " will have them interacting and working with the 65 member Korean Military Traditional Band as well as members of the Canadian Military, Veterans Groups, massed pipes & drums, ethnic dancers and cadets from the Vernon Army Camp.

All seating for the third annual Okanagan Military Tattoo is reserved. Tickets can be purchased at the Vernon Ticket Seller or by calling 250-549-7469.
