The 6th Annual Kelowna Wellness Fair takes place November 5-6 at Parkinson Rec Centre.  The event is 10am-5pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.  Admission is free.

The Kelowna Wellness Fair showcases over 70 products and services for the mind, body and soul.  There are vendors showcasing things such as essential oils, acupuncture, natural cleaning products, probiotics, spiritual guidance, weight loss training, organic products and everything in between.

Whether you want to be pampered, shop, or have a specific health ailment, there is something for everyone!  Visitors also receive a free welcome bag, free tea and chances to win prizes.  Oh Natural Foods will be on site with their delicious and healthy food.

“Our first fair began 15 years ago in Vernon.  We then added a fair in Kelowna and are also adding one to Penticton this year.   The Okanagan has a huge wealth of wellness businesses; it is the ideal place for a healthy lifestyle!” says Shara Mendoza, event organizer.

“We have a passion for healthy living” says Chris Madsen, event organizer and Shara’s father.  Chris can be found making his own veggie burgers from scratch using ingredients from his garden and enjoys an organic diet.  He spends each day hiking throughout the Okanagan and writing music.

“My dad taught me the importance of living a healthy and vibrant life and together we are sharing it with the community!” says his daughter.

One of the most common comments that the organizers get is that guests are surprised that they spend so much time at the event.  They typically enter in the morning and often don’t emerge from the hall for several hours!  There is just so much to see and do, from massages to psychics to dieticians to talk to, gorgeous boutiques to shop from and so much to learn and see.
