All the occupants of a triplex in Kelowna escaped unharmed from an early morning fire.

Kelowna Fire Department was called out at about 4 a.m. today, March 4, to the blaze in the 1000 block of Bernard Avenue between Ethel Street and Gordon Drive.

“Upon arrival crews experienced large flames and heavy smoke from the rear of the structure,” a fire department news release says. “Two vehicles were also involved in the fire and were a total loss.”

The fire is considered suspicious and is under investigation.

Kelowna Fire Department responded with four engines and 21 personnel.
