Highway 3 has reopened after it was closed for several hours this morning due to an incident involving a semi truck.

DriveB.C. first announced the highway's closure Oct. 22, between Garret Road and Saturday Creek, roughly 43 kilometres west of Princeton. A photo of the accident shows a semi truck was involved.

The road has since been cleared and is open in both directions.

A weather alert is in effect for Highway 3, Highway 5 and Highway 1 as snow is expected to fall this weekend.
